Young-kyu Choi

Young-kyu Choi is a Postdoctoral Scholar with the University of California, Los Angeles. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Seoul National University, Korea (Advisor: Professor Wonyong Sung), and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from University of California, Los Angeles (Advisor: Professor Jason Cong). During his M.S. studies, he developed hardware-based large vocabulary speech recognizers. After graduation, he developed receivers for digital and analog TV at LG Electronics. He also worked as a lecturer and a researcher in Inha University, Korea, where he conducted research in optimizing graph-based stereo vision problems using graphic processors. During his Ph.D. studies, he performed research on various topics related to customized computing, including his rapid simulation, performance estimation, and optimization flows for FPGA high-level synthesis.
