Young-kyu Choi is a graduate student in computer science at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he is working toward the Ph.D. degree under the guidance of Prof. Jason Cong. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Seoul National University, Korea. During his M.S. studies, he developed hardware-based large vocabulary speech recognizers. After graduation, he developed receivers for digital and analog TV at LG Electronics. He also worked as a lecturer and a researcher in Inha University, Korea, where he conducted research in optimizing graph-based stereo vision problems using graphic processors. His current research interests include efficient implementation of medical applications and circuit/neuron simulation using customizable platforms.
